Agronomist
Education
Agronomists need a bachelors degree in agronomy, agriculture, plant science, or a related subject.
A masters degree will get you a better paying job in research.

A PHD is required for college teaching.


Salary


Most earn between $25,000 and $40,000 a year.More experienced make from $40,000 to $80,000 a year.

Senior Agronomists make up to $100,000 a year.




Typical Day




An agronomists job is to produce new and healthy food crops for the growing population.

They need to know how to grow large amounts of food on a limited amount of space.

They need to be able to take care of plants and protect them from disease.


They develop new ways to harvest crops.
